Emerald is the Pantone color of the year.
Nashville is about to get a wonderful dose of the color.
If you haven’t seen the line yet, here are a few images of what fashion show attendees should see.
Her line was very much inspired by the stone malachite.
We wrote an article covering her show when the collection was presented for New York Fashion Week. Go HERE for the article.
Per the Symphony’s Publicist:
“Karen Elson and LEAGUES will perform at the Nashville Symphony Spring Fashion Show, presented by Lexus of Nashville on April 9 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Music City’s biggest annual runway show, the event will be emceed by CMT personality Allison DeMarcus and will feature Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2013 Collection. Sponsored by Genesco, Gus Mayer and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra League, the Symphony Spring Fashion Show raises funds for the educational and artistic programs of the Nashville Symphony.”
Red carpet will begin at 6:00 with pre-show cocktails. The show itself will begin at 6:45. The traditional dinner following the show still applies, but this year, a new element has been added. “Young & Fashionable Crowd” tickets are a new avenue for young professionals interested in attending the fashion show. This group is in a sense a “late party” for the younger crowd. It includes special seating on the Founders level of the Schermerhorn, and an exclusive Young & Fashionable Crowd after-party in the West Lobby/Courtyard. Tickets for this younger crowd are $150 each.
I’ll be attending with this crowd, so I will let you know how it goes. I assume it will be very similar to attending the Ballet Ball Late Party.
Sadly, per the symphony’s publicist, Monique will not be in attendance this year. She came when I modeled for the event in 2009. Such a sweet and tiny lady (she is standing on three stairs above me in our picture)!
It was such an honor to model for her.
I look forward to another beautiful show.
Pictures to come!
